Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring the safety of merchandise during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logbooks.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, traffic signals, and road safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Basic English reading and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours including weekends if necessary.
