Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and documentation.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain roadworthiness and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of logs, mileage, and delivery times using electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Navigate efficiently through traffic and varying road conditions to meet delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized inside and out.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo handling procedures.
- Must be able to operate manual transmission trucks.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
