Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner on designated routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to Hours of Service regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads according to safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any potential issues.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of logbooks, safety protocols, and cargo handling.
- Must be willing to travel within the Northeast region.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
