Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Complete daily vehicle inspections and maintenance logs.
- Adhere to all federal and state DOT regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) with a clean driving record.
- Current DOT medical card (Medical Examiner’s Certificate).
- One to two years of verifiable driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to obtain Hazmat or Tanker endorsements if required.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
