Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (dry van/refrigerated) for long-haul routes between Detroit, MI and Florida
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques
- Utilize GPS systems for efficient route planning and delivery
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding delivery status and potential delays
- Complete electronic logging system (ELD) documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with minimum 2 years verifiable experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with hazmat procedures (preferred but not required)
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Flexibility for overnight stays and irregular schedules
- Basic proficiency with electronic logging devices
