Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight on time and in pristine condition.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing tie-downs and dunnage as needed.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and complete all necessary delivery paperwork accurately.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations in the past 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of cargo securement and safety regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
