Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers to transport freight across Florida and Southeastern US routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding route conditions, delays, and delivery status
- Load/unload shipments with appropriate equipment while following safety procedures
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and required documentation for compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Florida roadways and Southeastern US routes
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and HOS requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor issues
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including early mornings and weekends
