Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles in a safe and legally compliant manner at all times.
- Timely Delivery: Deliver freight to designated locations in Raleigh and the surrounding areas within the agreed-upon timeframe.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues and reporting maintenance needs immediately.
- Load Management: Secure cargo properly and assist with the loading and unloading of goods as required.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery records in compliance with DOT regulations.
Qualifications
- CDL License: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations or DUIs.
- Medical Card: Current and valid DOT Medical Card.
- Experience: Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred but not always required for the right candidate.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of local roads, traffic laws, and GPS navigation systems.
