Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on highways and local roads in and around El Paso.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for performing vehicle inspections and minor maintenance.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
