Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (53' dry van reefers) on multi-state routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Coordinate with logistics team for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Build strong relationships with clients through reliable on-time deliveries
- Utilize GPS technology for optimal route planning and ETA management
- Participate in ongoing safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year OTR experience with hazmat endorsement preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass DOT physical examination
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) usage
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Flexible schedule including weekends and overnight travel
- Pass background check and drug screening per DOT standards
