Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods within NYC metropolitan area
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery deadlines
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Knowledge of NYC traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor troubleshooting
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Flexibility for early morning/late night shifts
