Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 trucks for local and regional deliveries
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and maintain real-time GPS tracking
- Complete pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route optimization
- Handle specialized cargo including temperature-sensitive freight
- Uphall all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Bay Area traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Basic cargo securement and hazmat awareness preferred
- Smartphone proficiency for digital documentation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
