Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to transport freight safely and efficiently to designated delivery points.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation, including driver's logs, bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment to prevent damage to goods.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required (CDL Class A preferred).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong understanding of DOT/HOS regulations.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
