Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to ensure timely delivery of freight.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain DOT compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are secured properly and within weight limits.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card).
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of local Colorado Springs routes and geography.
