Responsibilities
- Safely transport various materials, including sand, gravel, dirt, and construction debris, to and from job sites.
- Operate dump trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts, loaders, or hand tools as required.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) to comply with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and other crew members.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or heavy construction vehicles.
- Current DOT medical card and passing DOT physical exam.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic patterns and navigation in the Miami-Dade area.
- Physically fit to perform manual labor and handle heavy lifting.
