Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) safely and efficiently to deliver goods to designated destinations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment, ensuring proper securement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver logs, mileage records, and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Represent the company professionally while maintaining a clean and presentable vehicle.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safety procedures.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging devices (ELD) and messaging systems.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as required.
