Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently on highways and local routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely using appropriate lifting and tying-down equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all DOT regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with dispatch and clients.
- Drive defensively, obeying all traffic laws and safety protocols at all times.
- Report any vehicle mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or Class B) required.
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive motions.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
