Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A or Class B vehicles in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Deliver cargo to designated locations within the Boston metro area and surrounding regions.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to traffic laws and company policies to ensure passenger and cargo safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or Class B) required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience with tanker or hazmat (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
