Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A or Class B vehicles on local and regional routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Load and unload cargo using hand tools and dollies, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle's mechanical condition, tires, lights, and brakes, reporting any issues immediately.
- Manage documentation accurately, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and electronic logging device (ELD) logs compliant with FMCSA regulations.
- Maintain a clean and professional image at all times, representing Memphis Regional Logistics to clients and the public.
- Coordinate with dispatch to adjust routes as needed to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license with a clean driving record (MVR) for the last 5 years.
- Ability to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and occasional holidays as required by the schedule.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) is highly preferred.
