Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) following DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes to meet delivery deadlinesInspect and maintain vehicle logs, pre-trip inspections, and paperwork
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and techniques
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere to all safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Assist with training and mentoring new drivers when needed
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Omaha metro area and surrounding regions
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- hazmat endorsement preferred but not required
