Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate commercial vehicles in a safe, efficient, and legal manner to deliver freight on time.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting any issues immediately.
- Load Management: Secure cargo properly during loading and unloading to ensure no damage occurs during transit.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and comply with all DOT and company safety regulations.
- Communication: Coordinate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
Qualifications
- CDL License: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Driving Record: Clean MVR with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Physical Health: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of GPS navigation and route planning software.
- Attitude: Professional demeanor and strong commitment to safety protocols.
