Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently to deliver freight on schedule.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR) and delivery documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current, valid DOT Medical Card.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations or DUIs in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety protocols, and cargo securement.
