Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul and regional routes
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and safety protocols at all times
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Optimize routes to ensure timely deliveries across Arizona and neighboring states
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Represent Desert Star Transport with professionalism in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
