Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and documentation, including mileage and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws at all times.
- Represent the company professionally while on the road and at customer locations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MTC) and DOT drug screen clearance.
- Must have a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3-5 years).
- Basic English language skills (reading, writing, and speaking) for communication purposes.
- Ability to lift and carry cargo safely (up to 50 lbs) occasionally.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
