Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to residential and commercial locations across Detroit
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures upon receipt
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance
- Optimize routes to maximize delivery efficiency and minimize fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Assist with loading/unloading procedures and inventory management
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Driver's License with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of professional delivery or commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong knowledge of Detroit metropolitan area streets and landmarks
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Professional communication and customer service abilities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Smartphone proficiency for GPS navigation and delivery apps
