Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a professional and courteous manner.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately and securely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT) and complete all necessary paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Card and DOT Drug Screening clearance.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic knowledge of GPS and navigation systems.
