As a CDL Driver with Apex, you will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently across the Southwest region. We pride ourselves on our on-time delivery rates and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) to deliver goods to customers on time and in good condition.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork, including electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure the safety of the public and team members.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
Qualifications
- Clean Class A CDL license required.
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable driving experience (preferred for entry-level, but willing to train if candidate shows strong aptitude).
- Current DOT medical card.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and road safety.
- Good interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
