Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class B CDL required) to deliver freight on designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload shipments using proper equipment and techniques
- Communicate delivery status and exceptions to dispatch and clients
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Assist with warehouse duties including inventory management when needed
- Represent Swift Logistics with professionalism in all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of Chicago metropolitan area and surrounding suburbs
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Basic computer literacy for using delivery tracking systems
- Pass background check and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Customer service-focused mindset with problem-solving abilities
