Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans safely and efficiently on designated routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork (BOL, POD).
- Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays if required.
