Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A & Class B) to deliver freight on time and in pristine condition.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and electronic daily inspection reports (DVIR).
- Navigate routes efficiently, utilizing GPS and mapping tools to avoid delays.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with required endorsements.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- At least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Willingness to work rotating night shifts (typically 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
