Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van/refrigerated) within assigned routes
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and forklifts (certification provided)
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with Hours of Service rules
- Assist in freight documentation and delivery confirmations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Memphis metro area and Southeastern routes
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
