Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DVIR logs
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Secure cargo and verify documentation for all shipments
- Respond proactively to weather and traffic conditions during night operations
- Maintain clean driving record and uphold company safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in variable weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and logbook requirements
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Basic GPS navigation proficiency
