Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles (tractor-trailers) in accordance with all DOT and company regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment (forklift, pallet jack, straps).
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete DVIR logs accurately.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to HOS regulations.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while maintaining high customer satisfaction standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (no more than 3 points in the last 3 years).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) on file.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel to New York and New England regions.
