Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight within Florida and southeastern states
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and forklift training provided
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage delivery paperwork and electronic logging system compliance
- Represent SwiftHaul Logistics professionally at client locations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in various weather conditions
- Pass mandatory drug screening and background check
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and overnight trips
- Tampa Bay area residency preferred (within 30 miles)
