Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (tractor-trailers) for local/regional routes
- Complete pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Maintain clean driving record and required certifications
- Assist in training new drivers when needed
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Chicago-area transportation routes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent safety record and commitment to compliance
