Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport various materials, including gravel, sand, and construction debris.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to weight limits and safety regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic driver's logs (ELD) in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site supervisors to coordinate routes and delivery schedules.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks or heavy equipment.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation and route planning software.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and OSHA standards.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects and working in varying weather conditions.
