Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver products to customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checking tires, lights, and fluid levels.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or hand trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery receipts and bills of lading.
- Interact professionally with customers, resolving delivery issues with a positive and solution-oriented attitude.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and company safety regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs and road hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) or DOT physical card.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
