Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently on long-haul OTR routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment as needed.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and electronic logging device (ELD) entries accurately.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere strictly to all federal and state regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, safety protocols, and cargo handling.
- Must be willing to travel long distances and work varying hours as required.
