Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently to ensure on-time delivery.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required shipping documents.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical) and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and cargo handling techniques.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime as needed.
