Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans in all weather and traffic conditions.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement according to safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure 100% DOT compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and ensure timely, accurate delivery of freight.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, traffic delays, or vehicle maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the proper endorsements.
- Current and valid Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations within the last 3 years.
- U.S. work authorization and the ability to pass a background check.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle troubleshooting.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and physical examination.
