Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) safely and efficiently across the Midwest region.
- Inspect vehicles prior to departure to ensure safety compliance and mechanical integrity.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, following all safety protocols and weight restrictions.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal DOT regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (preferred).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety procedures.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Excellent time management skills and customer service orientation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and long-haul routes as needed.
