Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Optimize delivery routes while adhering to strict safety protocols and delivery timelines
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and securement techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers regarding delivery status
- Report maintenance issues and participate in preventive fleet maintenance programs
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all FMCSA regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and random drug screenings
- Familiarity with Portland metro area and Pacific Northwest routes
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and HAZMAT regulations
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
