Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles to transport goods to various locations within Illinois.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring proper handling and secure placement.
- Update delivery logs and maintain accurate records of deliveries and incidents.
- Interact professionally with clients and customers during deliveries.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of Illinois roadways and traffic laws.
- Basic computer literacy for logging purposes.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
