Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on interstate highways and local delivery routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and DOT compliance.
- Load and unload freight using proper equipment, ensuring cargo is secure and protected.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all hours-of-service regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any route adjustments.
- Uphold a clean driving record and strict adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- Manage inventory paperwork and delivery receipts accurately.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (or be eligible for immediate enrollment in our sponsored training program).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination to obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Strong commitment to safety, defensive driving, and regulatory compliance.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Willingness to travel between Louisiana and Ohio regions.
- Valid Commercial Driver's Manual knowledge.
