Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) on designated routes between Charlotte, NC, and Georgia.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight distribution and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs and required delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements (Class A or B).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) or DOT medical card.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Physical ability to lift cargo and sit for extended periods; ability to pass a DOT physical.
- Availability to work weekends and flexible scheduling when required.
