Job Summary: As a Class A Truck Driver for FreightWay Express, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of goods across the region. You will ensure cargo is loaded and secured properly while adhering to all DOT regulations and company safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo is secured properly to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and driver's logs in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery schedules, route changes, and any potential delays.
- Uphold a professional image while representing FreightWay Express to customers and the public.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) and no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, HOS (Hours of Service), and safety protocols.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
