Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads for transit.
- Manage delivery documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts, accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the truck cabin and exterior at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and fleet maintenance updates.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, hours of service (HOS), and cargo securement.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing route conditions.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and documentation purposes.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
