Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight on time and within budget.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and secure cargo properly, adhering to weight distribution and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required delivery documentation.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers regarding route changes and delivery status.
- Uphold a professional image and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state trucking regulations.
- Physically fit to handle the demands of long-haul and local driving duties.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
