Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver freight within the Louisville metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring secure weight distribution.
- Complete all required delivery documentation and logbooks accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and delivery updates.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) must be current.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
