Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles (dry van, flatbed, or reefer based on assignment)
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Accurately complete electronic logging and delivery documentation
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch and warehouse teams for efficient loading/unloading
- Maintain clean driving record and meet company performance metrics
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Michigan roadways and Midwest geography
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
